Game On

head hunters rspc league 1 2018The polo season started for me with the RSPC League 1.  Head Hunters entered a team which we made up with friends.  Playing with Mohd Effi, Yeo Kuo Lee, Stanley Sinnappen, Keith Teh and Shaik Reismann was a pleasure.  Shaik is a professional, but also a very good friend.  I have played many tournaments with Shaik over the years, and it was a real pleasure to play with him again.

For Stanley, it was a comeback to tournament polo, having had a few injuries and medical issues in 2017.  It was a year to forget for Stanley, but now he is back to polo and is very keen again.

Keith and Effi are newer members of the polo fraternity.  It was great to blood them as Head Hunters.

Head Hunters won more games than we lost, and finished third in the tournament, winning the subsidiary final against Windhorse.  Full results and team line-ups below.

Next up, the 4-goal Putra Invitational, where I have been asked to play with La Sarita in two games while patron Asad Jumabhoy is away.  To balance off my handicap, Hannah Daniels gets a run as a most valuable -2.   So it is a combination of La Sarita and Head Hunters in the first two games.  Wish us luck!
