Pete’s F-Log

Sometimes I think I should be a food blogger.  With so many international visitors, we have dined out quite often.  Last week we had two requests for KL’s famous Sang Har Meen (big prawn noodles).  I hit Sweet Inn and Green View with different groups mon diferrent days.  Or perhaps I should say we got hit, broadsided with bills much bigger than their famously big prawns.

Much better was a dinner we had a Kompassion II in Taman Tun Dr Ismail.  The Thai fusion style at Kompassion is such a nice mix of food, and at decent prices too.  I love living in TTDI because it has become such a foodie’s haven.   There are so many new and good restaurants there, from the low end to the fine dining such as Darren Chin’s DC Restaurant.

Gines Bargallo did a superb Asado at the Royal Selangor Polo Club on Saturday night.  The club’s asado nights are quite special.

Done with seafood, so this week I am thinking Punjabi food at Havelly’s,  Sarawak Laksa at Alexis, and some Kerala cuisine at Kayra’s in TTDI.

pja hy mop2017With the SEA Games coming, and more friends coming from overseas, I’m glad we’ve got apps like Zomato handy.

With so much eating on the cards, I’d better book more spin cycling classes.  After all, my playing season is over. It was nice to end it with a win yesterday, turning the tables on Ranhill-Putrajaya.

It is back to organising.  Next up, the Royal Pahang Classic (28th July to 5th August).
